The fresh Fraser Fir Christmas tree I brought home from School House Farm last Thanksgiving graced my front parlor from November 27 until January 3, filling our home with the scent of the Virginia Highlands where it was grown in Grayson County, Virginia. Because it was fresh cut and not painted nor have colorants added, its natural beauty lasted the entire Season. Even when I carried it reluctantly to the curb it did not drop its needles. Now Central Ohioans can enjoy these healthy, shapely fresh cut Christmas trees too!
Schoolhouse Christmas Tree Farm is owned and lovingly operated by Shade and Suzanne Mecum, my family, who bought the farm in 1992 and planted 6000 trees the first year. Keeping the deer from munching the seedlings was a family project that first Thanksgiving. We learned the secret and now those seedlings are 8 to 13 feet tall. Many more hillsides have been planted. We offer only #1 Fraser Fir trees, wreaths and white pine roping to take the Holiday Season through out your home. Orders for truckloads are bring taken now and will be cut and ready for shipping or pick up as per your schedule. Contact me for the price list and terms. Anne Nelson, City Rep Central Ohio for Schoolhouse Christmas Tree Farm, located right here in Central Ohio ready to serve garden centers, nurseries & tree lot operators.
