Schoolhouse Farm - Quality Statement

The goal of Schoolhouse-Farm is to provide accurately graded, fresh, and on-time shipments of Christmas trees to our customers. Our customers are garden centers, service organizations, or individual entrepreneurs marketing Christmas trees and greens to the retail customer. We will endeavor to attain high customer satisfaction.

Christmas trees are graded for both quality and height. Schoolhouse-Farm only provides number 1 trees. We will strive to meet or exceed USDA standards.

We want to deliver fresh Fraser Fir Christmas trees that look good and hold their needles throughout the holiday season. We cut our tees to fill an order. We store trees in a manner to maintain moisture content during the bailing and loading proces.

Delivering trees on time is a priority. We will not accept an order that cannot be delivered on time. We only ship truck loads to one destination. Customers can handle transportation or we can arrange it. Our prices are FOB Independence, Virginia and include loading the truck for departure.

Our height range for tagging in the field:

A 5´- 6´ has a minimum of 5´ to top whorl (where the top of the tree starts) and a maximum of 5´11" to the top whorl.  The height of the total tree including the 1 foot top would be 6 foot minimum to a 7 foot maximum.

A 6´- 7´ has a minimum of 6´ to top whorl (where the top of the tree starts) and a maximum of 6’8" to the top whorl.  The height of the total tree including the 1 foot top would be 7 foot minimum to a 7.5 foot maximum.

A 7´- 8´ has a minimum of 6´ 8" to top whorl (where the top of the tree starts) and a maximum of 7’8" to the top whorl.  The height of the total tree including the 1 foot top would be 8 foot minimum to a 8’8" maximum.

A 8´- 9´ has a minimum of 7´ 8" to top whorl (where the top of the tree starts) and a maximum of 8’7" to the top whorl.  The height of the total tree including the 1 foot top would be 8´ 8" foot minimum to a 9’ 7" maximum.

Larger trees will be graded similarly.
